Epiphany breakfast

So even though today is the day after epiphany, I was lucky enough to have a homemade galette des rois today. And, you’ll note, it is accompanied by croissants, a homemade bread with ham, homemade limoncello and a crėmant de Bourgogne (sparkling wine). At 10 am!

My usual Tuesday morning activity is the weekly gathering of France Grande Bretagne at a cafe. This is a group of some 20-30 French and English speakers. We spend an hour speaking in each language. However, the cafe where we normally meet is still on vacation this week, so I volunteered my apartment. Lucky me as the others supplied the goodies and all I offered was coffee. And we spoke mostly in French for 2 hours, mostly about food.
