Yesterday (Saturday) I rented a car and Libby and I are now back in France in Annecy. It is one of the prettiest towns in France, according to lore, and I can confirm it. Here are some photos.

So glad you are enjoying Annecy. Based on your suggestion we visited it last year en route to seeing you …. and we loved it. We loved the Savoy food too, though it was a bit heavy for warm weather. Hi to Libby!
I think Annecy is worth a short visit but not a week. It is spectacularly beautiful but not a whole lot to do. I would go to the beach but dogs not allowed. And yes, heavy food–great for cold evenings in winter, not so much for 90 degree days.
